I have a six year old Basset hound and she had a huge lump on her forhead. I took her to the vets and with just doing a nasal scrape I was told it might be cancer. I was given an antibiotic to give her. She had one big nose bleed and then her nose and eye would drain a clear mucous like substance. I took her to another vet, that looked at the same xrays and I was told the same thing without any other tests.I took her there for a second opinion. I guess what I find hard to accept is how she still eats ,plays, and goes to the bathroom just as she always has. She did have some trouble breathing for awhile but she seems to be doing better now that the swellig has gone down. The last vet. says she might live 2 months. I know you can,t diagnose without your own test results, and I know that I may have to accept that diagnoses, but have you ever heard of this before, and how can she seem so perfect now?
