Maudie--

Have your vet show you how to express these glands yourself. It is very easy to do, and you can do this without taking your dog in all the time. In the meantime, if you are considering surgery to treat this, you can check at www.carecredit.com. They provide financing for veterinary and medical bills and may be able to assist with your dog. Please let me know if I can assist further.
