I have a Labrador Retriever and live in Florida, He has biting, itching and scratching problems to the point of biting hair off and creating sores. I have had him to 2 vets who have given him antibiotics and tranquilizers, none of which are working very well.
I just started him on natural food and biscuits. Can you suggest anything further.
Every pet owner hates to see their pet suffering. Thanks, Luci

I hope the Benadryl helps him.
If he is not on flea prevention, Frontline is a good one, then he should be.
If he has a food allergy it may take a while for the new food to help.
You could see if a bath with a chlorhexiderm shampoo will help. Sometimes secondary infections from initial trauma are more itchy than the thing that started the problem.
You can use a lidocaine spray on the really itchy spots which should give short term relief.
If in the vets you have seen neither was a veterinary dermatologist you might want to see one for the best expert in person help

Reply to Nancy Holmes's Post: I have already done all of your suggestions. I have been directed to go to a pet dermatologist, however, the going rate is $500. for the 1st visit. I am on a budget, and this is out of the question at the present time. Thank you.
