Is your female spayed?

Does she seem to lick the area excessively?

What color is the discharge?

Would you consider her overweight?

Does she have allergies?

Thank you

Theresa

I would definitely recommend getting her in the tub and cleaning this area. Sounds like she has developed an infection possibly bacterial or yeast inbetween the folds of the vulva. Once the area is cleaned it will need to be kept clean and dry. I would definitely have her seen by her veterinarian Monday for treatment and medications. Also, mention NeoPredef powder to use as it will help to keep the area dry, reduce inflammation, and has antibiotic/antifungal properties. In case this is the result of her licking the area she should be evaluated for a possible urinary tract infection which can cause irriation and draw her attention to the area. This isn't an uncommon problem and is usually the result of excess skin and the folds retaining moisture. Sometimes we see this after grooming where the groomer may have clipped too close causing clipper burn. In either case the area needs to remain clean and dry until you can see your veterinarian.

Thank you

Theresa
