I have a 4 year old female Bassett Hound. I was told that she was dropped on a concrete floor, head first when she was about 11 months old. She seems to have limited control of her body. It is hard to explain but almost like her back half has no idea what the front half is trying to do. She is always falling down and tripping over "nothing". When she eats or drinks from her food bowl, she is always falling face down in it. It is not an intermitent issue, it is constant. Do you know what "may" be some possible causes? Thanks, Kat

It sounds as though she could have some neurological damage from being dropped and you should have her seen by your veterinarian so they can run further tests to determine if there is any swelling on the brain or damage to the nerves and recommend the proper treatement as this is definately a neurological problem and it needs to be addressed by your veterinarian who may want to have her seen by a specialist.
