Several monthts after moving in with my boyfriend, my 7 year old German Shepherd has decided to bark through most of the night, setting off my 12 year old German Sheperd mix. A full nights sleep has not occured for quite awhile. He is confined to the kitchen ( in case of a accident), but he slept in the same room with me before I moved in with my boyfriend. I got him from a rescue group that I work with and he has been in several homes before me. I hate to give up on him because he really is a good dog, except for the barking. I have purchased a citronella collar in hopes that will deter his barking at night. Before I got the citronella collar, I did try using verbal commands to quiet him down, this did not work. He has a very soft personality and responds to the verbal commands, but once I leave the room and go back to bed the barking starts again. Please give me some advise, because I don't want to send him to another home, he has been bounced around enough.

Optional Information:
Age: 7; Male; Breed: German Shepherd Dog
