I have a 12 1/2 year old miniature schnauzer who become nearly immobile over the last 2 weeks. When he walks, he can hardly move, and he holds his left front paw at an awkward angle. I can see that he is in so much pain, but do not know what to do for him. Our vet is also at a loss. My heart is breaking to not know how to help him, or even know what is wrong. Any ideas you have would be helpful.

Optional Information:
Age: >12; Male; Breed: Miniature Schnauzer

Already Tried:
Cortisone shots twice, Lyme testing and medicine (although tests were negative), xrays of the neck area show nothing abnormal, blood work shows nothing abnormal
