Question

sick baby kitty

Sent to Pet Experts January 15, 2006 10:40 p.m.

My friend works at a pet store where the owner has little care for the health of his animals. She is the kennel manager. She has a kitten that is underweight and seems to have some sort of eye infection. 2 of his siblings were taken by a co-worker and suffered the same symptoms. They both died. The kitten has a coating over his eye and that side of his face is swollen, he doesn't have any vision in that eye. She said she has him at her house and with the antibiotics she has given him he has regained an appatite, the eye has gone down a little but he is still underweight. She doesn't have the training to make a diagnosis- any ideas? oh- She has other animals so she's worried about keeping him there. She's going to the vet to neuter her dog tommorrow and is thinking of telling them she found the kitty outside to see if she can get it some help. She can't afford to take on this baby kitty-but she can't let it suffer. Please respond as soon as posible. I'm very sorry but i can't offer any$ I'm writing on behalf of a poor girl and a homeless kitten.
