My cockatiels were diagonist with spiral bacteria.I was given Doxycycline for this disease. My question is I have finches who are housed in the same room, only seperated by a wire wall.My finches are now showing the same symtoms as my cockatiels. The meds. for cockatiels is 300mg. per 1 liter plus 2ounces of water. We have 12 cockatiels and 11 finches. Can you tell me how much of the Doxycycline the finches should be given in their water? It is unlawful for anyone besides a veterinarian to prescribe medications. You should give your vet a call and let them know that the other birds are now exhibiting the same symptoms, and they will tell you the correct dosing for those little birds.
I hope this helps, let me know if you have further questions.

My answer should not take the place of your Vet's recommendation.

Reply to Vicki's Post: I have a vet, she is not in today or until monday. I wanted to know if anyone could tell me the amount of meds for my finches. This did not help me at all. Sorry, I need an answer sooner so I can get this under control before they get any sicker. Thank you very much for your time. Sincerely, Jackie. I thought vets answered the questions on here.
