My 10 year old dalmation seems to have discomfort in his front right leg and is limping. I've inspected his leg and foot but can't seem to find any cuts or bumps.Otherwise he is fine. What over the counter pain reliever can I give him, that won"t get him sick. Just until I take him to the vet tommorow?

My veterinarian recommends only aspirin as Tylenol, Ibupfofen, or Advil can cause toxicity in animals. There are somegood anti-inflammatories that your verterinarian will possibly prescribe such as Rimadyl or Deramaxx for this if they can rule out no breaks or fractures. I have included a link that explains about aspirin below that I feel will be of help to you and wish you the best of luck tomorrow. Just if you choose to use this for relief of pain follow the instructions fully so as not to cause any toxicity. If you give the aspirin watch for any signs of lethargy, vomiting, or fever which can be a sign of a reaction to this medication. I hope this information will be of help to you.
