Hello Dr. Marie,

This is to remind you my "case". I'll wait your return from vacation for your answer.
The problem is a 6 year old mail (not female) cat which had a change of eye colour from yellow to clear green. You've suspected a case of uveitis. I recall a sensitive ear in this cat. A parasite discharge has been found. No one can check his ear, he rejects. Was treated with some antiparasite fur drops.
My question is how to continue treating.
Thank you again, Drora

Hi there Drora! Sorry about the delay...I am now back from vacation. That is certainly interesting that your little guy has a parasite infection. I am assuming that he has ear mites?

The interesting thing about uveitis is that often we don't find the cause of it. It can sometimes be caused by any sort of infection or other disturbance in the body. So, I suppose it is possible that the ear mites and the eye color change could be related. I have to tell you though that this is quite unusual!

It sounds like your vet used a product like Revolution which is excellent in killing ear mites. I usually repeat it in 2-4 weeks, to be sure that the parasites are gone.

I would imagine that the eye color should return to normal within a month or so if this is caused by the parasites, but I can't tell you for sure.

I hope this information helps! If you have more concerns, just hit reply. Or, if my answer is sufficient, then please hit accept. Thanks!

Dr. Marie.
