A friend of mine dropped my 4 1/2 month old puppy. Are there any long term effects?

He is an 7 1/2 pound papillon and he was dropped about 5 feet. Immediately after he was dropped, he walked about three feet and started whining quietly like he was scared and/or hurt. I immediately went over and started feeling around for a broken jaw, legs, or collar bone; however, he didn't jerk away in pain or limp at all. After that, I gave him some treats with commands to sit and stay to see if he was coherant. I am probably worrying over nothing, but he has been extremely lethargic all day today and that isn't his style. No diarhea or vomiting, but I don't want to have to wait until it possibly gets that far. Thank you so much for replying. I am very worried because he is so small. Julie

As long as he continues to act ok then his probably going to be fine...they are pretty tough believe it or not. I would watch for any limping or pain when he gets up and if there is any then a vet visit on Monday is needed but I'm sure he'll be fine.
