If his dilatation is bad enough is vet will need to decompress the dog.
Post gastropexy bloat is not uncommon. The problem usually stems from failure of the motility of the stomach..and takes sometimes months to get better. The recommendation is the following; things that might help are metaclopromide, low-residue canned food, maybe a de-gasser, and QID or more feeding.
Ask the owner the weight of the dog and the mg dose of the metaclopromide.
