Mare with unexplained lameness
Sent to Pet Experts March 04 01:45 PM

i have a 6 year old 12 hand pony mare. She is due in June. She has gotten down in her rear right leg and holds it up and trembles. She will get up but lays down alot. This has happened twice. the first time the vet came out gave her banamine and she was fine within 3 days and was out bucking and playing with no problems. Three weeks later it happened again and this time she has had it for 6 days and have given her banamine and bute with no appearance of getting better. Could the baby have turned and pinched a nerve or what other possible reason is this happening? Please help me. Thanks Customer (name blocked for privacy) in nc
