Sent to Pet Experts February 16, 2005 10:41 p.m.

Please my son has a fat tail gecko and he took him out the cage and hit his tail on the lid as he was taking him out andthe tail literately broke. He is crying uncontrollably, and the poor lizard has crawled under a rock . What can I do to help and what do I need to tell my 7 year old son? He thinks he is going to die.He wants tohear it fromthe vet. The break is in the fat end of the tail and it is red and white flesh showing .What can I do to ease his pain and stop any possible infection?
