Question

Bumps

Sent to Pet Experts January 30, 2005 12:25 a.m.

My one year old yellow lab has bumps on the bottom of his jaw that appear to be raw and at times bleed (when fighting with his sister). Should I take him to my vet or is it something from being outside in the snow and ice (since he does spend time out there eating the ice)?

Thank you,

Laura,

These bumps could very possibly be harmless, but they are also noted with allergies to food, or outdoor pollutants. They could be associated with other source of infection, etc. To be sure of the definite diagnosis, a think a trip to the vet would be a very good idea for the best safety of your pet.

I hope things are well, and thank you.
