Pekingeise cant move back legs

i have a pekingeise just went outside to feed it, and his whole back body is paroized it seems. i was told this is a common thing of these dogs and it will come out of it. he is only 2 yrs old. and I can pay more if theres help for him

  Its quite possible what your dog experienced is a
 Fibrocartilaginous Embolism
Click on the above link to read more about it. I would recommend having your vet examine and x-ray her and possible give steroids. Sometimes they can get most of the function back but not always. Treating it quickly is the best chance for improvement.

Reply to ZooCVT's Post: thanks for your fast response, we keep him in a heated pin, with hay. and just seen him walking yesterday evening. he moves about the room by dragging himself. we had a really cold night lastnight but again he was in hay and the heat was on. no vets around here till week ends then you have to go 40 mile to see one. any other thing one might try? and also is this a common thing for pekingeise? this will be all the questions thanks

  I wouldn't consider it common for pekes because I have seen happen in other breeds...including my own ridgeback. You do need to be sure they are going to the bathroom because thats one of the main things they have issues with. I would keep him confined, taking him out only to potty and getting him to a vet as soon as you can.
