Question

Ball Python

Sent to Pet Experts January 08, 2005 8:22 a.m.

I have a ball python, she’s about 8 years old. This time she shed most of her skin stayed on. Now on her stomach it has turned black and rough (on the lower part of her body.) I put her in water to try to get her skin off but it didn't help much. I have a heating mat underneath and a heating light and regular light above. Is it possible she could have gotton burned. If so what can be done to help her? Can you tell me what could of caused this? It looks quite painful.
