Sent to Pet Experts December 28, 2004 11:34 p.m.

my dog ate a rawhide and threw up afterwards with alot
of foaming and mucus. Since then she has had
belabored breathing and wheezing. Her brother ate
rawhide from the same bunch and seems fine. should i
take her to the emergency vet center or just observe her
to see if it improves or worsens?

Rawhide can cause some upset tummies in dogs therefore one can be fine with rawhide and the other not.  I apologize for the delay in our reply  - what is the status of your dog now?
