Question

SKIN CONDITION CHINESE CRESTED HAIRLESS

Sent to Pet Experts December 25, 2004 11:50 p.m.

I HAVE A HAIRLESS CHINESE CRESTED ABOUT A YEAR OLD. THE DOG HAS DEVELOPED A SKIN CONDITION THAT STARTED OFF AS A SMALL SPOT ON DOGS SIDE. SPOT HAS GROWN TO BE SEVERAL INCHES LONG AND WIDE AND IS NOT CONCENTRIC. HAS PINK SKIN IN THE MIDDLE AND REDDENED AREA AROUND EDGES. IS WARM TO THE TOUCH AND CAUSES DISCOMFORT. LOCAL VET DOESNT KNOW WHAT IT IS OR WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT. PLEASE ADVISE.

Did the vet do any skin scrapings or tried any medications?
