Question

UrinaryInfection

Sent to Pet Experts December 08, 2004 12:24 p.m.

I have a Mini-Schnauzer that has been diagnosed with an infection in his urine and also there were crystals and protein in his urine. An exray did not show any stones, but did show that he has an enlarged prostate. After approx 6 days on an antibiotic, his urine is still the same. What do you think?

Many times the antibiotic takes 10-14 days to clear an infection. Did they recheck the urine at the vets or are you going by the way it looks that you think it is the same?
