Question

death of pet

Sent to Pet Experts December 08, 2004 9:57 a.m.

We had a 14 year old English Setter who was in good health. The other night he simply laid down on the floor and died in his sleep. Prior to his passing we had no indication he was ill. He was eating and passing his stool normally, and behaving as normal (running around and greeting us when we came home, etc.) We are at a loss as to why he died so suddenly without warning, and were wondering what can cause a dog to go so suddenly .
