I have a German Shepard/German Rot mixed who is overweight.

I have a German Shepard/German Rot mixed who is overweight. She's almost 5 I think. A couple of years ago we had to have a tumor cut off of her belly. The vet said it wasn't cancer, but if we had waited it could have turned into it. Thats why she gained so much weight. She wasn't active anymore. She eats nothing but Pedigree. Now she has a huge lump pertruding from her chest. Its about half the size of a tennis ball. Its not like before and we have no idea what it is. I was wondering if you would know.
