Question

something is wrong with my bird.

Sent to Pet Experts October 20, 2006 7:36 p.m.

i have a 4 month old sun conure who is acting a little strange today. He's all fluffed up and isn't saying too much. His environment has not changed and his food is the same. However, I do have 2 other birds in the house (bird sitting for 2 weeks) could this be a problem? I also noticed today that he has been chewing on a ladder toy. He has had this toy since I got him, but I rearranged it the other day, and now I guess he's noticing it more. Could he have swallowed some of the wood or the paint on it? It is a bird toy i bought at petsmart. I have already taken him to the vet today and they gave him antibiotics to take for 3 days. I just want someone elses opinion. Is my baby going to be okay?
