My 14.5 lb miniature poodle ingested an approx 3" ...

My 14.5 lb miniature poodle ingested an approx 3" furball re-gurgitated by the the cat.
Can the dog be given CATLAX to facilitate passage? Are there some other things that can be done to help? I can take the cat to the vet tomorrow, if necessary, but would like to prevent that, if possible. The dog is approx. 8 years old and otherwise healthy.Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
