Question

What could be wrong with my guinea pig? About a week ...

Sent to Pet Experts October 08, 2006 12:06 a.m.

What could be wrong with my guinea pig? About a week or 10 days ago, she started to make an unusual squeaking noise-almost like a cry/wine of pain. I checked her all over and did not realize for a few days the tha source of the problem is around her anus. She is all swollen, and does not seem to want to keep this area on herself clean any longer. I hav given her a sponge bath now for the past two days, with warm water and a little antibacterial soap, but it is not getting any better. After a few hours she has feces on her lowere half, covering her anus and hr entire bottom half. She is almost five. Here litter mate died a year and a half ago of kidney and bladder stones. Could this be the same thing? PLease respond back soon.
Thank you,
