TOOTH DECAY
Sent to Pet Experts November 26 05:32 PM

WE OWN A 6 YR/O Shetland Blue Merle (Shelte). She has been adopted x1yr. She had several teeth extractions, and we brush her at least once weekly gently. However, her gums bleed on contact,(Gingivitis)and we are concerned about further decay. The Vet states gentle brushing will help, but is it normal for the gums to bleed all the time on contact with the state of her teeth, and is there certain TX we can do to minimize this? She eat semi-softened foods, and broken up dog bones. She only has 4 front incld incisors, and some mastication teeth left bilaterally.
