Is he still sick??

My kitten, 6 months old and recently fixed, had a slight fever and was put on antibiotics by our vet. He anus is red and a little swollen and he still has diarreha. Other than that he eats, drinks a lot of water and acts like a normal kitten.
Should I just be patient or take him back to the vet? He's been off meds for about 5 days.
