my otherwise healthy 6 year old bearded dragon is not ...

my otherwise healthy 6 year old bearded dragon is not opening one of his eyes. This really impacts his ability to see the crickets and he is not eating as much. Up until now he has been in great condition. What's goin on?

He may have an abcess behind or around the eye which may be putting pressure on the eye. If possible you should try using plain eye wash and rinse out the eye. It would be better not to put the neosporin in the eye. You can use a dilute betadine solution to rinse the eye out instead. This will also have a antibacterial effect if this is an infection. If he has a scratched eye then he may need to be seen by your vet for the correct eye medication.
