Question

16 yr old Ex Race horse -behavior problems

Sent to Pet Experts August 24, 2006 2:44 p.m.

My 16 yr old Throughbred gelding is exhibiting some strange behaviors. First, he is falling asleep after being saddled...consistantly. He wakes himself up as he becomes unbalanced. Secondly, he has started "spooking" at very ordinary objects and situations. He will bolt to the side unexpectedly, causing me to become unseated and fall. Can you help explain what might be happenig?
