Ok. There can be a few causes for the seizure, trauma, toxins,
neurologic problems. If he fell and hit his head, it may have started
the seizure. If he ate something that has some toxins in it that may
have started the seizures. Neurological problems can be genetic or
unknown. Unfortunately most seizure activity doesn't have a definitive
reason. Bloodwork is done to try to find a cause but quite often can't.
Hopefully your vet can keep him quiet and under control until
medications can take effect. Some only have one seizure and never have
another their entire lives. It isn't a predictable problem. You may
also have to give him medication for the rest of his life. The best
thing that you can do right now is try to be patient, which is also the
hardest thing to do.
