my 1 year old great pyreness limps and holds up her back ...

my 1 year old great pyreness limps and holds up her back right leg (not always ,when she stands after lying on that side or after a long walk) i've had her hips x-ray and the cruisible checked both were fine .any ideas?

When did you have the x-rays...how long has she been limping...Does she have rear dewclaws?

x rays were done 4 months ago in feb.2006 she has been limping for about 6 months or more and her reardew claws were removed

Has she had any bloodwork..viral testing done?

no, not for this
but she has had it done for maintance such as
heart worm and such

I would have more bloodwork done. A few other things can cause what you are seeing. Canine eosinophilic panosteitis is one thing but will sometimes show up on x-rays. Tick fever is first in my mind that may be causing the problem so I would have your vet check for that if they haven't already.
