very thin 20 year old domestic tabby
Sent to Pet Experts August 20 02:34 PM

I have a 20 (yes 20)year old domestic tabby. She still eats and drinks and eliminates seemingly without problems. She is still active and jumps up on the bed or sofa to sleep. Slightly arthritic in the hips. She is however getting thinner and thinner. I can feel all of her bones and joints under her fur. I am inclined to simply attribute this to old age but I was wondering if I should try some sort of appetite stimulant. Any thoughts please?

She actually may have hyperthyroidism. A visit to the vet may be in order. He can also give her an appetite stimulant which will help her eating. Sounds like you've taken great care of this kitty for a long time! Please let me know if I can assist further.
