(Not a Pet Question?)

infection or old age
Sent to Pet Experts August 20 01:20 PM

Past history: my dog had an ear infection (2 months ago) and I gave her Otomax of which made her partially deaf. Her hearing has come back partially. She was seen by my vet and scoped and still had yeast in her ear canal. Since then, she hasn't been the same. Lathargic, rear end quarters are hunched up at times and at other times she drops her hind quarters and walks like she is going to have a movement. More recently she has been shaking a bit, not large quaking but a small shiver in her chest area. She is almost 12 years of age but has always been in great health. Do you think she has an infection from the yeast infection in her ears that was not 100% cleared up? Would a blood test identify an infection?
