strange symptoms
Sent to Pet Experts August 13 07:20 PM

Dakota came down with the same symptoms as she had before. And thankgod she recovered just the same, like nothing ever happened. This is killing me not knowing whats going on so we can work on prevention. Heres how it starts...................the night time is normal and by morning she is trying to vomit, more heaving as not much comes out. Then her balance starts to go and her breathing becomes labored and seems to run a fever, warm dry nose. This lasts several hrs then she eats takes a long nap and everything is fine. This is an exotic pet called a coatimundi but if you have any idea what might cause these symptoms please let me know.

Reply to ZooCVT's Post: No. He's still a baby only about10 weeks old. its hard to find an exotic vet that knows what a coati is, and syptoms went away the first time so fast we thought that was it but when it happened a second time we located a vet that would look at him but they arent that close and before we could take him in the syptoms went away and this vet will only see him in an emergency situation...could it be an allergic reaction to something or an intestinal problem?
