Beagle, 9 years old, suddenly started vomiting food when given but would keep eating this past week. Yesterday, he quit eating but was still drinking. Today, no eating and drinking and just had a runny, mucous, blood-filled bowel movement. Our vet said yesterday that he could have a number of issues but this took was not an expected outcome. My husband is enroute to the vet clinic. What could be the probable diagnosis considering the vet did a stool sample yesterday and had no cause for alarm. Please advise. Thank you.
