I have a leopard tortoise. On Friday he

I have a leopard tortoise. On Friday he ripped off one of his toenails. It did not bleed too much. He is walking around and seems fine. I do not know whether I need to take him to a vet for antibiotics. I have also read that antibiotics kill leopard tortoises. What should lI do?
