6 pound Yorkie bitch 6 weeks into gestation. Vet is giving her liquid calcuim. The bitch is shaking non-stop, all blood tests are negative. calcuim levels are high -normal. Could the added liquid calcuim suppliment be the cause of her shaking reaction? She was not eating well, but is improving this week after losing a pound of her normal weight.
I do not suppliment pregnant bitches with OTC calcuim before whelping, but this breeder is following vet instructions.
Thanks
