Dry blood leasons on face of Lab Male
Sent to Pet Experts July 31 05:10 PM

Hi, Hope you can help. Male Lab. "puppy" 9 months old, 88 lbs, and in good weight. He has many small dried blood spots on one side of his face. They are dry, no serum leaking, 10 mm spots of dried blood, all in an ares on one side of his face. I do not see him scratching at then, he lets me palpate the area, only slight resistance. He has no ectoparasites,(Frontline) although I occasionaly find Brown Dog Ticks on him. Never in that ares though. His food has not changed since Feb. He has full access to a large yard, sleeps inside at night. We have another adult dog who has no similar symptoms. What do you think?

It might be a pyoderma or puppy acne condition.
If they resemble popped pimples that might be it.
You can try cleaning the area with betadine or hydrogen peroxide (be careful of eyes and nose) and then coating the spots with neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment.
If you don't get any resolution to the issue then you might want to see your vet for help.
