We firmly believe and always recommend that when a new companion animal is adopted, it's important to have a "well visit" with a local vet, just to get established, make sure there's no problems and have any vaccinations that may be necessary.
Also, this creates a baseline of information that the vet can draw upon if there's ever a need for an emergency visit in the future. You'll know the vet, the vet will know you and your companion.
After our animals see a vet for the first time, we have yearly 'well animal' visits like people would have their children visit the doctor every year just to be sure, you know?
With birds we schedule twice a year visits so they'll stay familiar with the handling by the doctor and have their statistics updated mroe accurately.
I think you've asked a very responsible question that indicates you really want to do right by this bunny!

Many have forgotten this truth, but you must not forget it.
You remain responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.
