vomiting a yellow liquid

My dog is vomiting a yellow liquid that I think is stomach bile, what could be the cause of this? He is a 9 yr. old shih tzu and was at the dr. a couple weeks ago, when they did blood work and everything including liver tests came back normal. I changed his food to a stomach sensitive type but he is still vomiting this liquid almost daily.

The presence of bile in the vomit is from extreme wretching activity since it is actually coming from the bile duct in the duodenum.
The stomach is very empty. You need to determine if the dog is vomiting when the stomach is been empty for a while...meaning you feed in the morning and vomit occurs at 7pm.
If so you need to consider multiple feedings and if not you might want to consider starting with an antacid.

Response to DanaDVM's Post: he eats a small amount of food in the morning and he gets a cup of food in the evening. His vomiting generally occurs prior to having his evening meal. Is there an antacid that is specific to dogs or should we use any antacid. He weighs 15 pounds which the vet says is a perfect weight for him. We feel he is eating enough food and feeding him any other time of the day is not an option because we both work during the day.

To start with try 1/4 Zantac every 12 hours. Try this for 5 days and let me know.
