4 year old Beagle - Puffy Right eye

Hello, I have a 4 year old female beagle that woke up this morning with a swolen shut eye. I tried to open it and it is very red, and puffy.

What should I do, I really am not finacially suited to take her to the vet right now.

She sometimes has sneezing fits, could this puffy eye be some sort of alergy?

The affected eye, by any chance does it have swollen red tissue that is buldging from by the eyelid? Usually coming from under the lower eyelid. Use caution with giving allergy meds to your dog due to the fact that you should have a professionals advice on how much to give to prevent over dosing your pet.
