PLEASE GET HER TO AN ER VET IMMEDIATELY. Your dog has all the symptoms of a pyometra which is a severe uterine infection. GO NOW...don't worry about clicking any accept button..just get her to the vet. Please let me know how you make out with her as they will most likely need to do an emergency spay.

THANK YOU! You have probably saved Chloe's life. I did take her to the emergency animal clinic and they are now doing tests but they feel it is what you said it was, the severe uterine infection. She will be on antibiotics through iv's tonight and have blood work and x-rays. I will take her to my regular vet first thing in the morning for surgery if needed. If you hadn't told me the severity of this, we might have lost her. It's still extremely serious and all thoughts and prayers for Chloe are deeply appreciated. Thank you very much and God Bless!

Reply to Gina's Post: Hi Gina,
First I want to thank you so very much for telling me what to do. Had I not taken her last night to ER Vets, I dont believe we would be having this conversation today.
I picked Chloe up from the ER vets 6:30 this morning and at 7:30 took her to my vet. He agreed with the findings and she will be undergoing surgery today, anytime between 12 noon and 2 pm.(e.t.) I will definitely write back and let you know how she makes out. Thankyou very much for everything and for your prayers.
God bless,
Chloe's Mom

Relist:
I want to let Gina (crownmastiffs) know that Chloe had her surgery but it is far worst than we expected as the infection is widespread and the vet said she is in guarded condition. He is opening the uterus to sample the pus and to see what type of meds she will be best with. needless to say i am heart broken but trying to keep up a positive attitude. this really shook me up. please tell all the people out there that if they have ANY doubts what so ever, dont wait...go to the vvet or the er vets immediately.
thank you for your help last night.
