nothing, just noticed tonight & since I'm a nurse, but very ignorant of animal medical care, I wondered if I should be concerned(hematoma?) or maybe it's part of the normal post op course?

Reply to Gina's Post: No drainage, no warmth, but does seem to be the entire incision site. It is very soft ( on palpation), a bit larger than egg sized.

Tomorrow morning, please give your vet a call regarding this as she may have some infection build up at the site. Some swelling is normal, but that seems a bit large. If you have access to an emergency vet, you might consider giving them a call as she will need to be treated with antibiotics if this is an infection. You can also put a warm compress on the area to try to reduce the swelling. Good luck and let me know how she is doing. :)
