pregnancy or something else?
Sent to Pet Experts July 12 02:43 PM

My 9 year old cat is not spayed and may have gotten out about 2 months ago. She is skinny and only in the last couple of days has she actually felt pregnant. So because it came on so suddenly my first thought was that she was really bloated. Her stomach and under-carriage feels rigid and goes soft every once in a while to make me assume that these are contractions. These "contractions" have been going on for almost 2 days, being a cat lover and having had many cats have litters, I know that this is a little pro-longed and her water should have broken or some discharge should be visible but nothing! My question is, because of her age is she in labor for longer or could it be a miscarriage and because the baby is stillborn the labor is significantly longer....or is it something else?

Age: 9; Female; Breed: tabby
