Feline Leukemia Virus

My cat has feline leukemia virus and his recent blood tests show that he is anemic, his RBC is low and WBC is fine, his bilirubin is also high. The vet gave me a percentage which I'm not sure what she meant and said the low normal is 29% and he is at 15%. Prior to this, at his exam she gave me steriods to get his appetite going again and clavimox. He seems a bit more active, but after seeing his blood test results today she said there is little hope. However, others with feline leukemia positive cats say their cat was in this stage and went another 2 years after he was given prenisolone to help bring him back. Also, the vet said he may be regenerating. Whats the difference between regenerative anemia and non? What should I expect and how should I proceed. Also mentioned by FELV+ cat owners was hemobartanella, doxycycline and Epogen. What are these and should my vet have suggested these?

Optional Information:
