Question

Vertabrae problem with my Rabbit

Sent to Pet Experts June 22, 2006 4:49 p.m.

My rabbit fell yesterday, we took him to the vet and he is on anti-inflammatery drops and he received an injection from the VET, he checked Yodas (bunny) reflexs and the VET said thats good he still has movement in his legs. I'm worried as I've to go back to the VETs on Saturday and as Yoda is still dragging his hind legs I think he'll advice putting him down. Yoda doesn't seem to be in any pain and keeps trying to move then panics as I have restricted his cage (at VETs advice) and can't move to adjust himself. I have checked some web sites and they say it can take 6-8 weeks to heal which makes sense. It seems to be his lower back that is causing the problem. I don't want him to be in any discomfort but keep hoping that he'll get better.

How far did Yoda fall? Onto what surface? What part of his body was impacted?
