Hi. I have a female iguana that is approximately 2 years old, maybe 3, we got her from a 'bad' home and she has adapted very well to my husband and I and our four children, she loves to be petted and goes on walks in our backyard, we have a large enclosure for her in our bedroom so that the kids do not have full access to her without one of us there, and it stays at 82 degrees and she seems healthy at all times until two days ago i noticed she did not want to get out of her cage, which is unusual for her, so I started to look her over and she has what looks like blood shot eyes in the corners only and she is acting kind of lazy, well, more than typical liz laziness....from everything i have read, I think it may just be that she is about to or already has eggs, but i just want to make sure and we are gonna expand her cage so that she has a separate box with sand in it for her to lay them if that is the case, could you please just tell me what you think, if I am on the right track and it is eggs/breeding season and there is nothing more to the bloodshot eyes, and if the 'sandbox' idea is good? I would really appreciate it and I apologize if this is too much info, I didnt want it to be too little and I dont want to be a bother, but I have no money to take her to a vet and I havent been able to find one where I am located anyway! Thank you very much for taking the time to read and maybe respond to me!! ~Angie
