Cocciodosis

I have a toy pom who is 6 weeks old the vet said he has cocciodosis. He gave him medicene Two days ago. he got better and was eating but today he has not eatten or drank anything. I have been making him drink water with a dropper. Also is this contagious as I am going to be traveling to my son's house and he has baby kittens and a new born baby.
