Flea infestation

How should I treat flea infestation on my dog? We use frontline on a monthly basis and while out of town our dog stayed with relatives. When we picked him up he was infested w/fleas. Should I double the dose of advantage? In the meantime, I wanted to
know how I could treat him since bathing him has not been 100% successful. Is there some type of cream that I can purchase as some areas seem a little irritated from his
scratching. Our vet is on vacation and I am hesitant to see a new vet. Please advise.

Hi- Do not double dose him if it has been less than a month since you applied it. I have to use Frontline one month and Advantage the next with Adams Flea Off Mist in between as needed. Fleas have been the worse I have ever seen them lately. The Adams will instantly kill what are on him.

Reply to Joni's Post: Thanks for the advice. Can you recommend a good flea & tick shampoo to use? There are so many to choose from and since I usually take my dog to
the groomers I have no clue on where to begin.

Adams is also good and safe to use with all of the above. You should not have to even use a flea shampoo though if you use the Adams spray as needed and alternate the other two once a month products.
